What is NLR?
New life rule (NLR) - So the new life rule on Pegasus is 3 minutes. What this basically means is you shall not return to the point where you died until the 4 minutes is up. NLR also means you can’t remember something from a previous life for example, if a gangster comes into your gun shop and raids/kills you, you can’t then refuse to serve him in your shop because of this situation as it happened in a previous life. You can also not interact with players from that you recent died around / were killed by, Even if its not in the same area that you died.
What is RDM?
Random Death Match(RDM) - It sounds at first kind of a complicated term but when you put it simply it means : "Don't randomly kill people as you please". This means you have to have an actual VALID reason to kill a person.
Some criteria’s for killing people are :
• Your life must be threatened
• Someone owns the property
• Someone is affiliated with the property owner(s)
• Someone poses a threat during your raid (They have to have a gun out!)
• If you are being raided this counts as a threat and you can shoot your intruders.
• You mug someone and they don't have the required amount of money and runs away. If someone drops the money and you still kill them it will be taken as RDM/FailRP because they did what you ordered.
• You can’t kill someone because there a specific job for example a PD member may NOT shoot a gangster simply because there a gangster.
• You CANNOT place random hits on people without a valid RP reason as this is RDM/FailRP
What is Job Abuse?
Job abuse- One of the main meanings behind job abuse is where you use a piece of equipment, like a medics heal pack or a free runners climb swep and store it in your inventory to use as another job like thief or swat. Another “job abuse” example is you take damage as a thief, After this you swap to a medic to then heal yourself, then straight after you heal yourself you swap back to a thief.
What is FearRP?
Fear RP-This also applies to any kind of adverted action by Thief's, Gangsters etc. If you are being mugged, for example, you cannot pull out a weapon and attempt to kill the person. The reason being is that in a realistic scenario you would not try to kill the person that is holding you at gunpoint making demands. This is an RP server after all. Trying to make scenarios as realistic as possible is the main purpose of this rule. In reality the last thing you want to do is die (I hope so anyway) and the easiest way of avoiding this is to meet with the demands of someone that is holding you at gunpoint. The most common scenario in the server is when you are being mugged. The advert commonly looks like:
[mugger] Drop 2k or die!
At which point you have to meet with their demands. You CANNOT choose to take the easy way out and ask them to kill you or kill yourself from the command menu. Just try and put yourself in a real life scenario and imagine that if you don't meet with their demands your life will be ended.
What are KOS Lines?
KOS lines. First KOS means KILL on SIGHT so if a person is found crossing that line it is "alright" to terminate that person. Please note that alright had "" around it because you should always seek other options than killing the person! Try use FearRP to make him move away or else, killing is always the last resort! KOS LINES MUST BE MADE OF 5 LINES OR LESS!
When making a KOS line you use the Rope tool found in the Q menu. The KOS line should be within reason, this means it can't cover the whole pavement or parts of the street making it unrealistic. KOS Lines should only be around 1 meter from the door and nothing more, this is to avoid people using it as a stupid excuse to kill any innocent civilians that is near their base and makes our admins even more busy.
What is Fail RP?
Fail RP- In any RP server we hope that you try and RP as well as possible. Many of the job titles explain the main purpose of the job, this helps players to know what their job role requires them to do. Some examples of Fail RP could be:
• Police - When playing as a member of the police department your main goal is to remove illegal items from the town. So when a member of the police department is printing illegal money with money printers or taking drugs this is classed as Fail RP as they are not doing their job properly.
• Gun dealer - When playing as a gun dealer your job is to supply weapons to those who require them. You may not base with thief's and gangsters to supply them with weapons. You must own a shop and sell weapons to those who want them. This shop can be attached / part of a base but members of the server must be able to buy from them at all times.
• Thief / Master Thief - As a thief you cannot work with the police. Breaking into peoples property is illegal and the police should be on the hunt to stop you from doing this. When playing as a thief or master thief do not help the police in anyway, do not accept bribes.
What is RDA?
Random Arrest - As an officer of the law it is important that you follow the laws that the mayor has put in place. If you arrest someone and it bypasses the laws that the mayor has placed this will be classed as a random arrest. If you are sure that you are arresting someone for a valid reason you should always let them know why they are being arrested before arresting them. Example:
"Sir, you are being placed under arrest for possession of an illegal weapon"
Always make sure that the person you are arresting has broken the law, failing to do so will result in a demotion and is classed as RDA.
What is FDA?
Fading door abuse (FDA) - The meaning of this rule is that you cannot open/close your door with your keybinds or buttons. Minimum time you can have your door open on Pegasus is 5 seconds, meaning that if you have a keypad that is at default set to 4 seconds you need to modify it to 5 seconds. If the keypad is set to lower than 5 seconds or that you use keybinds or buttons during it will be counted as FDA.
Some other rules surrounding fading doors:
• There must be space between to stand in.
• You have to have a keypad/button on EACH side of the fading door!
• You may only have 3 fading doors in a row.
All rights to civil gamers.
